Patricia M. Thornton Education Grant


The Patricia M. Thornton Education Grant Program is offered to Local Chapters who provide training to their members.  The Grant was named to honor and memorialize Patricia Thornton, who gave so much to our members for over 50 years.  She served in many roles including California Chapter President, and most recently as CWC Executive Office Manager and Cali-lope Newsletter Editor.  Pat Thornton was dedicated to public service, promoting professional development and giving back to her colleagues.

Eligibility


Eligibility
  • Active Local Chapters can apply for this grant to supplement their educational activities and offerings.
  • Requests must be submitted by the Local Chapter President within 30 days of the educational activity.
  • Each Chapter may apply once within the administrative fiscal year; the maximum authorized is $500.00.

Tips


  • The grant is not available for individual members who may apply through the Karl E. Bybee Grant.
  • Please review the application requirements and submit with the required documentation as listed in section 8 of the application.
